Activities

The Fundación Rafael Bernabeu Obra Social (Rafael Bernabeu Foundation for Community Projects) aims to support and collaborate with underprivileged social groups.

From the very beginning, Instituto Bernabeu has shown great sensitivity towards the social, ethical and human aspects of healthcare. Within our means, we have always felt obliged to take part in activities and collaborate with organisations that contribute to the improvement of the health and culture of the world around us.

We provide support to and collaborate with a number of non-profit organisations promote activities of general interest. Among such initiatives developed by Instituto Bernabeu,: the following are worth noting:

  • Cocemfe. La Confederación Española de Personas con Discapacidad Física y Orgánica (The Spanish Confederation for Persons with Organic or Physical Disabilities) is a non governmental organization (NGO) established in 1980 in order to promote and defend the improvement of the living conditions of one and a half million physically disabled people in Spain.
  • Nazaret. Supports the programme "Actuación con madres y niños en alto riesgo" (action programmes for women and children at high risk). This initiative aims to help newborns, babies and children up to the age of six who live experience very poor living conditions, marginalization and violence.
  • Collaboration with associations for patients suffering from hereditary diseases.

Instituto Bernabeu also make regular donations to non-governmental organizations and other foundations such as Doctors without Borders, Aldeas Infantiles SOS, Fundación 1000 para la investigación de defectos congénitos (1000 Foundation for research into congenital defects),and ActionAid, all deserving a mention for their selfless charity and humanitarian work.
