The karyotype consist in the visulization of an individual chomosomes in metafase. It make possible the determination of numeric or estructural abnormalities in the chromosomic resources. For this reason a metaphases analisys is done through the GTL bands from the periferic blood culturing.

There is a great evidence of chromosomic alterations in patients with altered seminograms (i.e.: Klinefelter Syndrome, robertsonian translocations, etc.) and also couples with repeated miscarriages and implantation failure.
